These are some of the comments from the Vermont Voltage Campers (We apologize to campers, who wrote us comments, for not posting them. We could not post them, because if we would post hundreds of comments that we got, then the page would be 120 yards long :)
Dear Mr. Sunj, You should know that both of my boys felt that the soccer camp held at Northfield was exceptional. They thought the coaches, John and Gavin, were outstanding. The coaches mixed up practicing skills with fun games. THey also took a personal interest in getting to know the goals of both boys regarding what they wanted to take away from soccer camp. Everyday my boys were so excited to get to camp that they often arrived about 30 min. early. They regretted when camp ended, and moped around for a few days saying things like, "I wish we were still going to camp with John and Gavin." It is this standard of quality that makes me feel that my money is well spent on your camp, and compells me to tell as many people about it as I can. Thank you, Mrs. H. Z. Hello! My six year-old son Angus just finished his first week of the Vermont Voltage soccer camp in Vergennes. It was an amazing week and we were all so impressed with the quality of the coaching. Those little kids probably worked harder than they have yet in their young lives, but they all seemed to thrive under the guidance, humour, tough love and kindness of the four wonderful coaches. We would love to enroll Angus in a second week of camp this summer and are considering the week of July 30 to August 3. Richmond would be the closest camp to us that week. ANgus felt a special connection with coaches Gavin and John this past week, and I'm wondering if you know yet what camp they will be coaching that last week of July. Yes, just the concerns of a neurotic Mum, but I think it would be great for him to have the continuity of those relationships. Thanks for any information you can provide. And thanks for offering your great programs to kids in Vermont ! I look forward to hearing from you. S. S.
--- Dear Bo, Hi, I just wanted to say that your "crew" did a phenomenal job building skills, confidence and yes.... sleep into my 7 year old daughter M B.. She had a very busy schedule this past week w/ day camp but insisted that she went to soccer camp in Manchester and not once did she want to miss a day. She really enjoyed the coaches and we wanted to thank them for all their hard work in training, educating and encouraging my daughter to "reach for the sky". Thanks again and we look forward to next years camp coming back to our neighborhood. Please give our special thanks to Mark & Amy for all their hard work. Sincerely ---
i just wanted to let you know that i've had an amazing time at every overnight camp i've been to. i'm kind of sad that i'm too old for it now and i'm really going to miss all the coaches. it's weird how everyone can get to know each other so well in just one week. i've had so much fun at camp and i want to thank you for making that possible. ~liz s. --- To: Bo V.
Hey there, it's Tanya Bashaw again! I just wanted to let you know that the camp was fabulous, so much so that I would have done the second week if it had not been full, even though I had NO energy left after the first. It seems that the dance was a good idea after all, as we all had a blast. We did look rediculous, but hey, that's half the fun. The lady Voltage involved in the camp were so inspiring. You guys are too, dont get me wrong, but Michelle and I really bonded with the girls. We missed both games last night, as I was working and Michelle had a game of her own, but I caught the news clip on it and it looked great for the ladies, after their last game lost 1-0. I really was bending over backwards trying to get there, but I just couldn't make it happen. We will most likely be coming to the ladies game on Wednesday, is that when you guys are going? let me know, that would be cool. We were also wondering if you had the e-mail or aol screan names of Amy or Jess, as we both would love to keep in touch and be informed of all games they are in, inside and outside of the voltage. Thanks a million, and hope to see you Wednesday!!! -Tanya Bashaw ---
Hi, I want to congratulate you on a well run camp with instructors/coaches that really related well to the kids. We’ve done a number of different camps for many different sports and have found that the coaches make all the difference in the world. Your guys were wonderful! My son got a lot out of the camp and would definitely go again. Please come back to Bennington next year! An excellent camp! Thank you again. Betsey Walton ---
Bo, I had so much fun at the overnight camp. (the second week) I really liked the coaching staff. My favorite was Amy. One of the problems that I had while I was there was I didn't have a ball all the time. And something that I noticed was that some kids had two balls and took them home with them. I am not quite sure how to help you fix this problem but I thought I might let you know. I would also like to attend the East Montpelier rec field daycamp. So all that I need to do is show up there with my ball and shirt? I would also like to know who the coaching staff will be for that week. I would like to thank you for the really fun week that I had at the overnight camp! I had alot of fun and will be coming back next year! I will keep you posted on my soccer seasons this coming school. Megan Swasey ---
Hi Bo! camp was really fun...i really liked the dance...it was incredibly amazing! yeah but i love going to the overnight and its really fun with the coaches and stuff. ~Liz Smith ---
I just went to one of your camps (in Bennington) and enjoyed it very much! It was one of the best camps I ever went to (and I've been to many since I was 5 years old). One of my coaches said that if we bring our camp shirts to a game we can get in for free but I was wondering if we can buy tickets at the gate on game nights for the rest of my family. Could you please let me know when you get a minute? Thank you, Hannah Cross ---
Dear Bo and Voltage players, just wanted to extend my thanks to you and the Voltage players for your commitment to young soccer players. My daughter Mariah just returned from your camp at Lyndon State and hasn't stopped talking about what a great time she had! I think it is inspiring to all young people to know that there are folks out there will to give of themselves so that they may benefit from other's experience and knowledge. Thanks again to all involved and see you next year! Sincerely, Andrea Phillips Underhill, VT ---

Hello there, My two children and two nieces just finished the day camp in Bristol. They had a great time and enjoyed the coaches. We'd like to participate in a second week but two of the girls have said they'd only do it if they could have at least one of the same coaches. - They are 6 and 8 so a familar face helps. The coaches were sullivan, Mark and Dwane. I apologize if I've misspelled any names. Might you know if any of these three are scheduled to coach at Essex, Hinesburg or Rochester? We live in Middlebury so any of those three locations would be a relatively easy commute. Thanks in advance for the information. We're so glad that were tried the camp! Angela Foley ---
Hi Bo, Elle and Ian, who both attended the Stowe camp, went to St Albans to watch the soccer game Saturday. AND Ian WON the seat in the lounger with dinner AND dessert. He was THRILLED. What an exciting thing to win. It was sooooooooooooooooo cool. I just had to tell you that it made his whole summer to win that. They got a dinner, and got to sit in the great seats. What a great idea for a special prize. If you can get me a picture from the Stowe camp I will get an article in the local paper this week. Lyndall. ---
Hey Bo, I don't know if you remeber me but my name is Amanda Anderson and I came during the second overnight week...which was amazing!!! I completely miss camp and everything about it, and i can't wait until next year. I have been looking online about the indoor league and I am thinking about joining, but I am a little fearful that it might get too crazy with school soccer...I was wondering how u are...and the team...and even though probably like everyone is asking you...maybe you could come to one of my teams games (Stowe). If that may be possible i'll send you our schedule. Also, I have taken a lot from my summer experience and I have tried to use some of the drills from camp w/ my team....but I kind of forgot a lot...which brings me to also asking if u could maybe give some suggestions on drills...or warm-ups... oh yea...to make you remember me more I used to say "oh boy" a lot when I messed up or something big was about to happen...yea.. So it is great talking to you, and please reply because it would be awesome for some tips...and maybe a visit to Stowe?! p.s- i was on the vermont voltage website and i was wondering what the Junior Voltage is and also about the Voltage Volunteers...maybe i could get involved w/ volunteering...and i have no idea what the Junior Voltage is.
Sincerely, Amanda Anderson --- I love soccer From,
